Coton continue the start to their Midland Football League Division 1 campaign with a visit to Cradley Town, where they will be hoping to open up their account for the season and get the first points on the board.

Cradley started up their season with a well fought 3-2 win against Coventry Copsewood, and they will be looking to make Beeches View a fortress this year after an impressive pre-season in terms of new additions and results.

The 2022/23 season saw the Green Army come up against Saturdays hosts twice, with the first of those occasions coming on the opening day. That fixture saw Coton kick start their life in MFL1 with a bang as they ran out 6-2 winners on the day, with Ryan Conlon the pick of the bunch for Green as he netted a hat-trick. The return fixture came much later in the season and Cradley got their revenge with a well deserved 2-0 win at home, in a game that saw Coton suffer a big blow during the warm up as Luke Fox went down with an injury.
The outcome of last season saw the Hammers achieve a respectable 16th place in the table, but times have changed this year with many non-league fans making Cradley this years dark horse to go on and challenge at the top end of the table.

Coton go into the weekends fixtures with an almost fully available squad, with only Jack Shepherd (holiday) and Riley Keasey unavailable with the latter not expected back before Christmas following his serious injury during pre-season. The Green Army welcome back George Hunt who will be a huge addition to the squad as he returns from holiday. Jason Pyott also continues to promote from within and keep the Youth Team players who impressed during pre-season in and around the squad.
